Competitive Squash
Generally run over a weekend, tournaments are a great way to get competitive games in a friendly social atmosphere. You get a minimum of three matches over the weekend, so even if you lose a couple you may be in line to get a prize! Click here for more.
Squash has a particularly good grading system and obtaining a grading is necessary to take full advantage of the many squash events offered. Grades are divided from A1/A2, B1/B2 etc down to F with most players obtaining D or E gradings. The grades are then divided into points. Each competition game earns or loses points (depending on a win or loss) allowing players to move up or down the grading list.
If you would like to be placed on Lugton Park’s Grading List please contact us at info@lugtonparksquash.org.nz.
Interclub is a graded, points based competition that is administered by Squash Waikato and is open to teams from all affiliated clubs in the Waikato District. The teams are divided into Men’s and Women’s competitions. The divisions are made depending upon the team’s point’s average from the grading list.
It is a great way to get a regular game and meet fellow players from around the Waikato. You must be on the grading list to be eligible to play.
